July 18, 2015

I am excited to announce that very soon I will be shipping brand new work to Shain Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina where I will be exhibiting for the first time!  The work will appear in the gallery’s Abstract Invitational, opening August 13th, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m.  I am very happy to be represented by Charlotte’s best gallery, and looking forward to a great show with several other regional and national abstract artists.  If you are in the area, I hope you will have a chance to stop by!  The gallery is located at 2823 Selwyn Ave, in Charlotte.

Here are just a couple of my pieces that will be arriving soon at the gallery:

Many thanks to the purchasers, and to the folks at Soren Christensen!

Just Hired! – A New Director of Studio Security (in training)!

January 16, 2015
Abby at home

Abby at home

This is Abby, my new Director of Studio Security.  Abby will be striving to fill the shoes (paws) of my former Security Director, Bridget, who passed away last July.  We looked far and wide for a fully qualified candidate to train, and found this lovely girl at Big Bones Canine Rescue in northern Colorado.  Abby is 8 or 9 months old, and about 55 pounds.  She will fill out to about 80 or 90 pounds as she “grows into” her new career.  At the moment, we’re working on the basics, and there is some question as to who is training who…..but I am very excited to have her join the team here at the studio!

I am very excited to announce that my work is now being represented by Soren Christensen Gallery in New Orleans.  Soren Christensen is one of the top contemporary art galleries in New Orleans, and I am honored to have them introduce my work to the southeastern US.

My work will debut at the gallery with a show opening December 6th, 2014.  If you are in that part of the country, I hope you will stop in!

Really excited to see this show on the walls…

Today I delivered the last of the work for my show at Art + Soul Gallery which opens on July 10 with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m.  I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning, and most likely cleaning the studio in the afternoon!  Time for a fresh start….  I’m ready to get back to the studio to see what happens next!  These are two of  the pieces from the show.

Paintings, Paintings Everywhere…..

Not much space left in the studio as I get ready for my upcoming show!

Not much space left in the studio as I get ready for my upcoming show!

Why is it I always seem to think that the final milestone in getting ready for a show is putting the last stroke of paint on the last painting?  How come I always forget about the framing and the photography and the Photoshop work??  That is, I forget about it until I realize how close my scheduled date for delivery is and then I get frantic!  This is how my studio looks today…..I’m getting there, but still have a ways to go.  My show at Art + Soul Gallery in Boulder, CO will be delivered on June 29th, only a few days away.  I’m really looking forward to cleaning up the studio once all these paintings move to the gallery.

This is Couture, one of the 20+ pieces in the show.
